After making the first purchase by using the Chop app, you will need to register with Chop, and it is your responsibility to protect your account and make sure that no one else has access to your password or uses your Chop account. You are responsible for all purchases made using your account, even if made by someone other than you, and even if made without your permission or knowledge, unless we determine that you were the victim of fraud, hacking or other criminal activity that goes beyond just unauthorized use of your Chop account. The Chop app allows Chop to make purchases from nearby merchants on behalf of our users. This requires Chop to share information with these merchants in order to complete purchases for users, and as a result, and while Chop will not share any more information than is required in order to complete transactions on a user’s behalf, this does mean that if you are using the Chop app to make purchases from these merchants, these merchants (and/or any third parties that operate websites or e-commerce platforms for these stores) may have access to your personal information. These merchants all have their own privacy policies and practices, which may differ substantially from Chop’s policies and practices. This policy does not apply to any data collected or used by any third parties that may have access to your information as a result of your use of the Chop app. It is your responsibility to read and confirm your agreement with the privacy policies and practices of the merchants in the Chop app before you make any purchases from them. By using the Chop app and authorizing us to make purchases on your behalf, you are confirming for us that you are in agreement with this privacy policy and with the privacy policies and practices of any merchants in the Chop app from which we are making purchases on your behalf.
